At The University of Iowa Department of Dermatology, we are continually pushing the envelope in developing new treatments.

Research opportunities in the department span clinical, translational, and basic science research on dermatological disorders. Our work is funded by a range of sponsors including the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Defense, among others. Based on individual interests, there are abundant opportunities for faculty and residents to become involved in research at Iowa. 

Departmental research is conducted in dedicated spaces within the Marshall Laboratories for Dermatology Research, the University of Iowa Clinical Research Unit, and the clinical space in PFP.
