The Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Mohs Surgeon to join our growing team of academic dermatologists. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a high-volume, multidisciplinary setting at a top-tier academic medical center, consistently ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report.


Position Highlights:



  • Academic Appointment: Appointments may be made at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, on either the tenure-track or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on clinical experience and research interests. Positions can range from 50% to 100% full-time effort.

  • Practice Focus: Mohs micrographic surgery for cutaneous malignancies with the opportunity to integrate general dermatology, complex tumor management, or cosmetic dermatologic procedures based on interest.

  • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Dedicated Mohs suites, equipped with in-house histopathology lab and nursing support.

  • Collaborative Environment: Close partnership with dermatopathology, surgical oncology, ENT, and plastic surgery colleagues.

  • Teaching Opportunities: Active involvement in the education of medical students, dermatology residents, and Mohs fellows.

  • Research Support: Protected time and institutional resources available for clinical or translational research initiatives.

The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Department of Dermatology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Dermatologist to join our expanding academic faculty. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice pediatric dermatology at a top academic medical center, with strong clinical, educational, and research support.


Position Highlights:


  • Academic Appointment: 50%-100% FTE, tenure track or clinical track, rank commensurate with experience.




  • Practice Focus: Comprehensive pediatric dermatology care, including management of common and complex conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.




  • Multidisciplinary Care: Close collaboration with pediatrics, pediatric surgery, oncology, genetics, rheumatology, and other subspecialties at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
